Hi Tom,
I live in the DFW area and have a yearling by Freddy. I thought I would let you know how extremely well he did at the breed shows in Region 9. Based on his final score at the championships of 75, Finian is now 14 in the nation out of the 42 colts and geldings that competed. Finian is an exceptional young horse and I consistently am complemented as having the best behaved young horse at the shows. Hope to see you and ride with you when you go to Sharon’s. Judi

Dear Judith,
I am writing to inform you that Fred Astair has another son. The foal was born June 18th or 19th, depending on which time zone you're in on that date. Freddy's foal, with Florian's Fable is perfect. A light bay with a white spot on the head. Our vet, Greg (Dr. Houtsma), said he is an exceptional colt. Even with my experience, he is put together nicely, and today we had him out in a paddock and he was doing piaffes on his own. We have an old Grand Prix stallion, Willhelm Tell II, and the colt trots just like him. This is currently what I have to compare him to. I am writing to let you know that I am so proud that I was the one who wanted to breed to Freddy. This foal is mine, I am very proud of him. I have lots of digital pictures, but have yet to upload them. I just wanted to get this out to you because I've already been to slow about it. I'm thinking of naming the foal Faulkner, though I still need to do a search to make sure there's not others already named the same since he is very exceptional and deserves to stand out above all others. Everyone suggested Fandango and Figaro, which hilariously there are several other horses named the same, many are famous. I can't wait until the Oldenburg inspection. The one I went to a couple years ago had 5 foals go premium, and I think he's better than any of those. Thank you, and take care.
Sincerely,
Matthew A. Schwager

Dear Judith,
Evie had a gorgeous colt, who is already showing a wonderful floating canter and pirouettes.  We haven't seen the trot yet, because he goes from 0 to 60 in 2 seconds! Both were checked on Sunday afternoon and pronounced "textbook" fit.  It never ceases to amaze me how quickly they go from newborn to running.  When you're in the area, please come and play with our new colt.

Here are some more pictures of  Freddie's baby, Fascinating Rhythm.  He has tons of personality and is very nice!

"Catalina" is my other Freddie baby and she sure is pretty!

I really like both babies! The temperament and personality of Freddie's babies are fantastic!  Sheri

"Fielding", has just been approved as a stallion!  He is out of Freddie's 1st crop. Most remarkable!!!  Judith
